With the delivery of 35 copies of the Toyota Mirai, the first hydrogen-powered taxi fleet is a fact. At Toyota Material Handling in Ede, in the presence of Engbert Stroobosscher, alderman of Veenendaal, as well as Peter de Pater, alderman of Ede, the 35e Toyota Mirai delivered. Diderik van Gent of Toyota dealer Van Gent handed the key to Martijn Kersing van Noot Personengebruik in Ede.

A first in The Hague with the largest hydrogen fleet in the Netherlands.

“With this project, we deploy the first hydrogen taxi fleet in the Netherlands. Elsewhere in Europe there are also such initiatives, such as in Paris, where currently 100 Toyota's Mirai are already driving. It is a logical choice that we have made use of hydrogen because our client requires us to be available 24/7 with our fleet. Due to the large radius of action of the hydrogen car and the fast refueling, we can now offer this ”, says Martijn Kersing, director of Passenger Transport Note

Toyota Mirai developed Fuel Cell Stack.

The Toyota Mirai has a Fuel Cell Stack, developed entirely by Toyota itself, that generates electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. The 114 kW (155 hp) electric motor drives the front wheels. An automatic transmission is standard here.

Because hydrogen is converted into electricity that drives the electric motor and only releases water as a residual product, the Toyota Mirai is XNUMX percent emission-free. The range of the Toyota Mirai is comparable to that of a petrol car. Moreover, the Mirai is just as quick and easy to refuel.
