Arrives, Connexxion, EBS en Keolis are the four transport companies that have registered for the European tender for bus transport in the IJssel-Vecht region. The concession area consists of parts of Overijssel, Flevoland and Gelderland.

The colleges of the Provincial Executive of Flevoland, Gelderland and Overijssel are expected to take a decision at the end of September. The IJssel-Vecht concession is being concluded in phases. Bus transport will start in Central Overijssel and the Veluwe in December 2020. 

Two sub-areas will flow in later because the existing concessions were completed later: Lelystad in September 2021, IJsselmond Region in December 2023. Special attention in the tender will be devoted to making bus transport more sustainable.

New corporate identity and new brand name

The new brand name and house style are gradually being implemented in the three provinces. The vehicles will be given the new corporate identity at the start of the new bus or train concession. The three Rs represent the three cooperating provinces: Flevoland, Overijssel and Gelderland. The buses and trains here have a purple-blue-green house style.

EBS in the Haaglanden region

From August 25, 2019, EBS will provide public transport in the Haaglanden region for the next 11,5 years. The region is divided into 4 sub-areas with their own focus. Public transport in Haaglanden focuses on speed, convenience and clarity for travelers. The result is a clear network of R-network lines, connecting regional lines and city lines and customization, with which we make travel easier. The client is Metropolitan Region Rotterdam The Hague.

Autonomous and electric vehicles from Keolis

Keolis is a pioneer in shared autonomous mobility and has already conducted numerous tests with his partner NAVYA in France and around the world. The first 100% electric vehicles from Keolis in Belgium are driving around in Ghent.

Under the name 'Wandelbus', some electric buses drive through the car-free area of ​​Ghent's city center. The vans are free of charge and are intended to make it easier for people with reduced mobility to get to Ghent. Three electric vans for 8 people travel through the center from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday shopping on a fixed route.
