Once again, Tesla is giving the established car industry a check. The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology added Tesla to a list of approved car manufacturers on Thursday. The Tesla plant becomes the first car factory in China to be wholly owned by a foreign company.

Earlier this month, the US news agency published that the car brand wants to start producing EVs in China this month. Musk's brand allocated two billion dollars to build the new factory in Shanghai. By the end of this year, 1.000 Models 3 should roll out of the factory every week.

Gigafactory 3 is a fact

China is by far the largest market in the world for passenger cars, including hybrid and electric cars. In 2018, over 2,2 million hybrid and electric cars were sold in China, compared to 1,3 million in Europe and 1,1 million in the United States.

Gigafactory 1 is located in Reno, Nevada, USA, Gigafactory 2 is located in Buffalo, New York. Gigafactory 4 is being built somewhere in Europe. As it stands, Germany has the best cards for this. The now-acquired company that continues as Tesla Grohmann Automation will become the home of Tesla Advanced Automation Germany that there should be 1.000 jobs there.
