With a decision about reopening the schools, Minister Slob still wants to wait for the outcome of the RIVM investigation into the role of children and young people in the spread of the corona virus. That's bad news for the taxi companies hoping to restart school transportation after April 6.

“If it is later than April 6, the measures as they have been taken will be extended and the schools will be closed even longer. Only when the research is finished will a decision be made as to whether the schools will open again.

If the results are indeed delayed for six weeks, schools would start again in May at the earliest. For many taxi companies that depend on school transport, this is yet another hard blow to overcome.

The research was initially supposed to be held in Noord-Brabant, but it has now been decided that the data of XNUMX families with a corona infection will be kept throughout the Netherlands. Now it is still according to Minister Slob unknown exactly how infectious children are and what their role is in the spread of corona.
