From 1 August Munckhof Taxi BV will provide student transport for the municipalities of Barneveld, Nijkerk, Renswoude and Scherpenzeel. The contract runs for five years, at least until the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The option exists to renew the contract three times after this. Munckhof will soon take care of the trip acceptance, planning and execution of the transport.

By choosing the municipalities to no longer tender from the Foodvalley Region as a whole, but to split the tender into three clusters, route transport can be organized better and more efficiently. In addition, sustainable transport is an important part of the tender. 

Jos Poortinga, director of Munckhof Taxi BV, explains: “Both the municipalities and Munckhof attach great importance to sustainability. It is therefore a component that we scored highly on. During the term of the contract, the share of electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles will increase to 70% of the journeys. ”
