A spokesperson for KLM has said that the airline's basic timetable will be extended to at least July 3, 2020, due to corona crisis constraints. Due to the corona crisis limitations, we have to comply with all kinds of rules, including at least 1,5 meters distance from each other, this is almost impossible in an airplane. This adjusted timetable took effect on March 29 and would actually be valid until May 3.

KLM flies with this timetable to fifteen intercontinental destinations and within Europe they still fly to some thirty destinations. KLM now flies with Boeing 777s and Boeing 778s to intercontinental destinations, normally they also fly with the Boeing 747s to intercontinental destinations. He does indicate that a weekly review is made of which flights can or cannot continue, this has to do with the corona measures from authorities in countries around the world.

"We advise our customers to realize before booking that they are responsible for taking note of the different restrictions that vary from country to person and may change at any time," said KLM on the website.

Due to the corona crisis, everything is currently different, KLM is currently flying from Schiphol with passengers to Hong Kong, but without passengers back to Schiphol. KLM flies to Bangkok without passengers, but they do take passengers back to Schiphol. Last week KLM first flew a passenger plane (Boeing 777-30 from Shanghai to Amsterdam full of cargo in the passenger cabin, the passenger seats and luggage bins above the seats were completely full of medical supplies. About 500 packages full of mouth masks, among others, and protective clothing.
