After it became clear last Friday that the motor and scooter lessons could be resumed, the driving schools can also resume lessons in trucks and passenger cars from 11 May. A relief for the sector because it was previously completely locked, with all its consequences for the affected entrepreneurs.

Branch organizations BOVAG, FAM, LBKR and VRB have currently prepared themselves through a thorough approach security protocol that allows for a safe and responsible restart.

Minister Van Nieuwenhuizen applauds the initiative of the sector: “These difficult times require a lot of patience and flexibility from all entrepreneurs in the driving school industry. Fortunately, the driving lessons can start again on Monday and we take the first step in the right direction. With this protocol, the driving school industry takes responsibility for the safety of students and instructors. I appreciate that."

The protocol 'safe working in the driving school sector' lists the safety measures for the driving school sector. The driving school owner is responsible that it is established prior to the service that instructors, students and housemates of the aforementioned groups do not have any complaints that are appropriate for COVID-19.
