As van Remortele describes it himself, after six beautiful years, the time has come to take the next step in his already beautiful career. As of June 1, he will step down from ZCN and become CEO of Transvision. Laurens van Remortele says she can look back with pride on the period at ZCN.

"You know better than anyone what the consequences are of the fact that our industry has a dynamic, sometimes erratic character. Contracts come and go at a rapid pace. It takes a lot from every entrepreneur in the sector to deliver top performance every day. As a team we have developed well in that force field. We celebrated great successes and sometimes we had to say goodbye with a tear. ”, said van Remortele in his suicide note.

Transvision is also active in small-scale passenger transport, but also focuses on bus transport and participates in an application that makes it more accessible for older people to find their way within the social domain via apps.

At Transvision he succeeds René van der Veer. Six years ago, it was René who made the transition from ZCN to Transvision and took the opposite route again. Not as director of ZCN, but as CEO of the BIOS group, to which ZCN belongs. René van der Veer follows Steve Hesselink and will continue to perform these duties as long as the position of director of ZCN is vacant.

The villa, which was occupied in 2012, had simply become too small to accommodate all of the group's activities comfortably and efficiently. Modernization was complicated by the status of the building as a national monument.
