Air traffic is gradually increasing again at Amsterdam Schiphol. Since June 15, many countries are accessible again in terms of travel and many people can and want to travel again. You notice that difference from weeks ago at Schiphol. According to various news reports, the airport expects 40.000 to 60.000 passengers per day this month. In the same period last year, this was 210.000 travelers and approximately 1450 flights a day. This is just a different number from months ago, during the corona crisis lockdown.

However, these numbers are still a big difference compared to last year, last year this was about three quarters more. Between 500 and 600 flights a day are scheduled in July. When air traffic was almost completely grounded weeks ago, it was about 6.000 passengers and about 125 flights a day. More flight movements at Schiphol automatically means more noise nuisance for local residents, Schiphol sends local residents a letter to inform them of this.
