As of 1 July, the corona measure applies that everyone from the age of 13 is obliged to wear a mask or mask in public transport. More and more complaints are being received at the corona and OV (Passenger Association ROVER) hotline by travelers about the mask. Complaints are received from travelers who have complaints about the mandatory wearing of a mask or mask. This is 73,7 percent of the complaints. These travelers find the mouth mask terribly uncomfortable and are short of breath and find that wearing the mouth mask leads to medical complaints.

There are also complaints from travelers about the need to better enforce the wearing of face masks or the correct way to wear a face mask on public transport. This is 26,3 percent of the complaints. Travelers note that several fellow travelers no longer comply with the mouth mask obligation. This causes annoyance to travelers who do wear a mask while traveling. These travelers do not feel safe because of this and are concerned about their own health or the health of their family. Public Transport Passengers Association (ROVER) argues in favor of wearing the masks and masks and emphasizes that as long as the masks are mandatory in the Netherlands, travelers must really comply with this.

At the beginning of this week, OV-NL placed a guide on their website on enforcement of corona measures in public transport by Boas. This is to make traveling in these times of corona as safe as possible for travelers and employees. This guide contains all kinds of agreements between the police and the transporters. These include agreements about, for example, what actions boas perform themselves and agreements about when the police should come to help. These agreements emphasize that it is a joint responsibility to realize a safe and good manageability of the emergency regulation COVID-19.
