In these bizarre months in which the travel sector is having a hard time, there are several travel companies that have just now decided to join the ANVR trade association. In the past (corona) period alone, nine travel companies have recognized the added value of the trade association and have become members of the ANVR. In addition to the eight Dutch companies, the French Travelski, a trade name of Travelfactory, has also registered as a member. In addition, the ANVR is in talks with five other companies to take the final steps towards membership.

Companies indicate that they see added value for the consumer, but also see added value for their own organization. While the strong and well-known ANVR logo plays an important role for consumers, the company mainly sees the added value of the ANVR in all adequate communication and explanation to members with regard to legislation and regulations, contacts with government and national and international platforms, lobby, labor matters, travel vouchers, travel advice, etc.

Frank Oostdam: 'We are happy that much of our work has not gone unnoticed and that many new members have registered with us, welcome! We will continue to work hard with and for our members to get through the corona crisis as well as possible. But unfortunately we will have to deal with numerous bankruptcies within the sector in the near future. First tens of thousands of repatriations, then hundreds of thousands of cancellations, then issuing travel vouchers that can be converted into vacations later this or next year or eventually money, and then a world that slowly opens up but sometimes closes again; As a travel company you will not keep that up much longer. We will therefore continue to talk to the government to see how and where they can help and meet us. I trust the always resilient and creative travel industry '.

The travel companies that recently became members are: Pragema Travel & Insurance BV, Aquaterra Travel BV, Onyx Travel BV, VillaVibes BV, AsiaDirect BV, Travelfactory, PT Travelservice vof, Flywise Travel BV and Stichting Israël Idoed Reizen.
