These are strange times, normally these months are top months for the airlines. Aviation has been restarted since the corona lockdown, but it is still far from where it should have been. This week, the airline Transavia announced the flight schedule for the summer of 2021 on their website. Transavia's summer schedule will start on April 1, 2021 and will run until October 31, 2021. The reason they announced the summer schedule earlier than usual is that travelers with a corona voucher or travelers who want to rebook their flight have more options to plan a trip. If they want, they can already book a trip to the summer of 2021. Due to the consequences of the corona pandemic, many travelers have received a voucher because their trip could not continue. It is still a very uncertain time and we do not know what the future looks like with regard to the coronavirus. Many passengers still do not dare to book a trip.

In the summer of 2021, Transavia will fly to 73 destinations from Eindhoven Airport, Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. This year, Transavia will look at whether more destinations will be added to this. Transavia will no longer fly from Groningen Eelde Airport to Mallorca (Spain) and Heraklion (Greece) in the summer of 2021. The city of Fez in Morocco has been newly added to the summer schedule of 2021. Transavia will start flights to the Moroccan city of Fez from Rotterdam The Hague Airport this winter and will continue these in the summer schedule of 2021.

In these uncertain corona times, it may be that Transavia has to make interim adjustments to the flight schedule. If countries tighten their corona restrictions, they must respond to this. If Transavia makes changes or cancellations, travelers are given the option to have their trip rebooked to another time without change costs and without fare difference. This week, Transavia left on their website know that despite our government's code orange travel advice for all of Spain and parts of France, they have not changed their flight schedule for Spain until September 8th.
