Good news in these uncertain corona times. From October 26 this year we can travel directly from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to London by train, the NS and Eurostar announced this week on their website. Transfers in Brussels will be canceled. The train tickets for this direct train from the Netherlands to London can be purchased from 1 September via NS International.
Travel time is four hours and nine minutes from Amsterdam to London and three hours and twenty-nine minutes from Rotterdam to London. You can book from six months before the start of the trip, so travelers can already plan their trips in advance, for example for the Christmas period. Train tickets for this direct connection from Amsterdam to London and Rotterdam to London are on sale from 1 September from 46 euros for a single journey.

In these uncertain times as a result of the corona pandemic, the Dutch Railways gives its travelers extra flexibility. In addition to the usual conditions that the NS has, all train tickets can be changed free of charge up to 14 days before departure. This service applies to all bookings from July 1 to December 31, 2020, and is valid for all dates available at the time of ticket purchase.
Eurostar and NS During these corona times, hygiene is of paramount importance, so they take extra hygiene measures for a pleasant and safe journey. The trains are thoroughly cleaned before each journey and items that are often touched are additionally cleaned and disinfected during the journey. During the trip travelers are also required to wear a mouth mask.
