The Taxi-Expo in Houten is definitely canceled. Due to the tightened measures taken by the cabinet, it is not justified for the organization to have the trade fair and the annual congress also partly take place physically. Until recently, the organization had the confidence and hope that the congress could continue, of course in an adapted form to ensure that everything proceeded safely and responsibly. Taxi Expo is therefore now being postponed to May or June 2021.
For the taxi drivers who have to pick up their customers around the trade fairs, it is currently looking for other income. The RAI now houses a test street of the GGD where the cars drive directly into the hall and is currently in the middle of a reorganization that is costing more than a quarter of the 483 employees their job. There are hardly any events left by the measures of the cabinet.
For many fairs and other events, organizers work with time slots, so that there are not too many people at the same time. Exhibitors set up their stand in such a way that the minimum distance of 1,5 meters is guaranteed. Attending meetings was only possible on the basis of (online) registration.
What will continue is the National Congres Contract Transport. Not as a physical meeting but completely as a webinar. The organization has indicated that it will be working on new products and services that are in line with current circumstances in the coming period.
