The Eindhoven-based Censys BV is the frontrunner in successfully connecting companies to Chiron. Today, Movi + transport services were also given the green light to go into production at Chiron. Again one of the many Flemish taxi companies that can connect to the control system of the government by using the Pitane Driver App with a minimum of costs.

Especially for people who have a hard time getting where they want to get without the help of family and friends. People with reduced mobility should not rely solely on public transport. They need adapted transport that allows them to reach their destination carefree and in comfort. The Flemish company Movi + uses the software systems and taxi planning of Pitane Mobility.
The new regulations that are in force provide that every holder of a new permit must pass on his / her journey data in real time to the Flemish Government. This obligation would only take effect on July 1, but has been postponed to November 1, 2020. In order to accommodate companies so that they can comply with the regulations more quickly, Eindhoven-based Censys BV has now also made the developed Chiron link available as an open API for all other Flemish taxi companies that do not yet use Pitane Mobility software.

As of 1 November, every taxi journey must be electronically registered just before departure and after arrival in Chiron, the central journey database for individually paid passenger transport that is made available for this by the Flemish Government.
“We assume that everyone should link to the API of the Flemish Government and we want to meet this by opening our developments to a broader target group. It is therefore not strictly necessary to use our other software to achieve this objective, ”said Sam Saey - account manager at Censys BV in Eindhoven.

Chiron communication
In recent months, the new decree for individual paid transport has entered into force. This decree requires the real-time registration of every paid journey in the central database of Chiron of the Flemish government for the 'taxi rides', called Chiron. Via the Chiron application, the registered journeys can be directly consulted and validated by legally authorized employees of the government. To make this possible, there must be a link between Chiron and the Pitane Mobility API.
This allows drivers to comply with the new regulations with a minimum of costs. The registration for the connection with API of the central database of the Flemish government for the real-time registration of individual taxi rides, called Chiron, is separate from the registration for new licenses or a driver's pass in the Centaurus system of the Flemish government.
