We are currently in the grip of the corona crisis, waiting for our minister to see which way we will go with the tightening measures taken 2 weeks ago. There has been an increase in the number of corona infections in our country in recent weeks and hospitals continue to fill up with corona patients. The stricter measures announced 2 weeks ago will certainly remain in force until December and it remains to be seen whether these measures will become even stricter next week. Countries around us are also taking increasingly strict measures to reduce the number of corona infections.

The Spanish government recently declared a state of emergency for six months and introduced a curfew between 23.00 p.m. and 06.00 a.m. due to the increase in the number of corona infections. There is also a curfew in France, between 21.00pm and 06.00am, with the exception of a small sparsely populated part of the country. There is also a curfew in Belgium, between midnight and 00.00 a.m. In Belgium, the catering industry is closed for a month, just like in the Netherlands, until the end of November.

The Italian government has also re-imposed strict measures. Due to the increase in the number of coronavirus infections throughout Italy. For example, regional curfews have been set, restaurants have to close at 18.00 p.m. and theaters and cinemas are closed. The color code of the entire country will therefore change on the website of the Netherlands worldwide on October 28 from 'yellow' (note: there are security risks) to 'orange' (only necessary travel). From October 28, traveling to Italy is only allowed if necessary.

The increase in the number of coronavirus infections is also high in Austria. Therefore, the color code on the website The Netherlands worldwide of the federal states of Carinthia, Burgenland, Steiermark and the region of Ost-Tyrol changed from 'yellow (note: there are safety risks) to' orange '(only necessary trips) on 28 October. As a result, the whole of Austria will be color-coded orange from October 28 at 17.00 p.m. and it is recommended to travel to Austria only when necessary and not for tourist trips. Exceptions are the municipalities of Hinterriss and Jungholz in the state of Tyrol and the municipality of Kleinwalsertal / Mittelberg in the state of Vorarlbergt
