The general director of the ANWB, Frits van Bruggen, has announced his departure. He will step down from his position on 1 April 2021. Van Bruggen joined the ANWB 10 years ago as a member of the Board of Directors, focusing on Assistance and Insurance. As of August 1, 2014, he was appointed General Manager.

Frits van Bruggen has made a major contribution to the financial stability of the ANWB. When he took office, he also drastically changed the top structure of the organization, which, in addition to the autonomy of all business units, also reflected the synergy between them. A suitable successor will be sought in the coming period. The ANWB reports this on them website through this message.
