On the third night after the introduction of the curfew, many cities in the Netherlands are on fire again. Instead of staying in his city, this became the perfect moment for the Eindhoven mayor John Jorritsma to enter into a 'safe' discussion with Peter R de Vries at Jinek. We do not want to blow the trumpet for de Vries here, because when you use the same text in two programs you have thought carefully about what you are going to shout to irritate politicians and enforcers, but it is still important to know what is in the heads of the rioters. Whatever the outcome, it is never a reason to loot, destroy property or attack enforcers and journalists. In any case, it gives the Eindhoven population a very restless feeling. While the police helicopter in Eindhoven flies above your bed for hours, you look at Mayor Jorritsma who is lectured by de Vries without interference from Jinek.
It is a fact that during that program, wheel-turners again restricted the mobility of citizens a little more. Despite all the disdainful remarks of Mr. de Vries, his disrespect towards the mayor was to be ashamed, most of us woke up this morning with an angry feeling after seeing the new images. The only question is whether this is still about curfew, or whether there is much more going on. Don't forget, when it rains in America, it will drip here. The fact that Jinek gave Mr. Peter R de Vries a stage turned out to be the pinnacle of malicious framing and incitement.
