Good accessibility to sparsely populated areas is an important criterion when granting concessions for public transport. Experiments with other means of transport such as shared cars and volunteer taxis can be included in the concession. The regular rail network can be used more intensively, also due to additional measures for quieter and safer track. The CDA wants to make agreements about the possibility of extending the German and Belgian high-speed lines to Hengelo, Venlo, Maastricht and Groningen and improving existing international connections.

With the construction of new high-quality public transport connections, the CDA wants to open up new areas for living and working. In this way they want to keep the cities accessible and livable and they spread the economic strength across the country. The party wants to invest in domestic high-speed connections to the North (Lelylijn) and the East with good connections to the rest of Europe. Breda, Utrecht, Zwolle, Groningen and Arnhem will become nodes on the new high-speed network.

For better connections between cities and regions, the broad people's party CDA wants to build hubs where different modes of transport converge and travelers can easily switch to a (shared) car, (shared) bicycle, train or metro. Always find the fastest or cheapest way via digital. For the CDA, competitive and sustainable aviation at Schiphol and the regional airports is of great importance for the economy and employment. Quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient aircraft must contribute to reducing nuisance for the immediate vicinity. They encourage the use of the train for short distances. The opening of Lelystad airport is viewed in the light of the recovery of aviation.

Good road connections are of great importance to our economy and transport. Nationally and regionally, they want to tackle bottlenecks and are investing in innovative solutions, such as the self-driving car, to increase traffic flow and combat traffic jams. They are talking to Zeeland about a feasible solution for a toll-free Western Scheldt tunnel. The CDA wants to reform car tax in the long term, so that electric cars will also contribute to the construction and maintenance of roads and railways. The condition is that the total car taxes do not increase.

Some program points of the CDA - we stimulate the use of the train for short distances - construction of new high-quality public transport connections - better connections between cities and regions and the building of hubs - linking concessions to good accessibility of sparsely populated areas - experimenting with the volunteer taxi and a toll-free Western Scheldt tunnel.

The CDA wants to stand for the shared values that connect us, for the tradition of tolerance and responsibility and for the Judeo-Christian roots that have shaped our country into one of the most beautiful places on earth. The Wilhelmus is the oldest national anthem in the world. We can be proud of our national anthem. But traditions require maintenance. If children no longer learn the Wilhelmus at school, the national anthem loses meaning. That would be a real shame. That is why the CDA wants children to learn the Wilhelmus at school.
