The restart of school transport is a long-awaited activity for taxi companies that is very welcome. But now that schools increasingly determine for themselves which students can come to school on which days, the puzzle for control centers and taxi companies responsible for school transport is greater than ever, as the standard routes change composition almost daily. Professional student transport is usually a piece of cake for most taxi companies that use good automation. Yet today it is no easy task to assemble the puzzle every day again, taking into account all exceptions.

Pupil transport itself in (special) primary and secondary education can take place in the regular manner. The XNUMX meter rule continues to apply to the distance between students and the driver. When no one and a half meters distance can be kept between the students and the driver in student transport, the driver wears a surgical mouth mask. Drivers, students, parents and schools must continue to adhere to guidelines developed by the RIVM during transport. The health check forms the basis for the decision to transport a student. Royal Dutch Transport (KNV), together with the trade unions FNV and CNV, put it together protocol for safe care transport for children and young people for children and young people up to and including 17 years old. This protocol deals with the practical aspects related to safety and hygiene that transporters must take into account.

Secondary schools will be open again from 1 March with extra measures. All students go to school at least 1 day a week. On the days when the students are not at school, they follow distance education. There are strict rules at school, so that it is safe and responsible for students and teaching staff. This means that many schools are currently unable to receive all students on the same day, with the result that school routes are run or arranged differently almost every day of the week.
