Seventeen Flemish ski travel organizations are not waiting for a relaxation of the travel ban to the ski areas and are now also canceling all planned group trips this Easter holiday. They let this know in a joint announcement on Wednesday evening. A heavy blow to the Austrian Tyrol now that all travelers who had booked with one of the 17 organizations have been informed and get their money back. In addition, the situation in other countries such as Italy and France also offers little perspective.

For the first time in history, the Ischgl ski area will not have been open a day for an entire winter season, except for the local population. As in the spring holidays, the travel organizations will also cancel all winter sports trips during the Easter holidays. The main reason is that the ski organizations do not expect any relaxation of the ban on non-essential travel in the short term. If the travel ban does lapse, the ski lifts in Italy will be closed at least until April 6.

Moreover, the current corona situation in typical winter sports countries is not really promising and organizations like Active ski, Arena Travel, Axion Ski, Carolus Ski, Famiski, JOSKTravel, Skifriends, Skiworld, Snowdream, Snowfriends, SnowMania, SnowPlus, Sporty Ski, Staes Ski Holidays, Tramontana, Travelwhite and VOS Travel, most customers have already been personally informed. From the many responses they received, they conclude that every traveler understands this decision.
