The consumer wants nothing more than to pack his suitcase and the travel sector wants to have practically come to a standstill after more than a year, now to organize that fantastic journey for the consumer. With the prospect that travel will be possible again next summer, the sector is launching the 'Just Book It' campaign. With this joint campaign, ANVR travel companies want to dispel any doubts among consumers about booking a holiday now.

That the consumer is ready for a holiday has already been confirmed by research agency GfK. No fewer than 84% of the Dutch indicated that they were ready for a holiday, of which more than half had a destination somewhere in Europe in mind. This survey also revealed that consumers have doubts about booking a trip now, because they do not want to run any financial risk. Travel companies understand this reluctance and want to dispel those doubts, because having fun and enjoying your upcoming holiday trip is just as important, the travel industry knows.

“It is not clear to anyone yet which countries and destinations will open the borders this summer. The question is still which measures we should adhere to. But ANVR companies try to entice consumers with 'Just Book It' and a strong protection factor to look ahead and book now for next summer, ”said Frank Oostdam, chairman of ANVR. “We face a joint challenge to convince the consumer, because booking is really possible again.
So we chose to tackle this together with our travel companies. ”

ANVR travel companies will continue to follow the travel advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So if the consumer has booked and the travel company is ultimately unable to carry out the trip, the traveler will receive a refund of his already paid travel sum. And if the travel advice changes from a destination to orange or red while you are there, the travel company will arrange for repatriation. The travel sector has switched from 'dream now, travel later' to 'Just Book It'; now the consumer! ANVR reports this on their website.
