The Keukenhof and more than twenty monuments will allow limited visitors on Friday who can show a negative corona test certificate. Through the organization Testing for Access, visitors can schedule a quick test and then go to castles, fortresses, churches and museum houses. Keukenhof can accommodate a maximum of 5000 visitors, the monuments 30 to 300.

Many of the participating monuments previously indicated that they were very happy with the opening, but there were also concerns. Park manager Rob Rambags of Kasteeltuinen Arcen, for example, encountered “problems that were difficult to tackle”, such as testing the staff. For that reason, the castle gardens will not open until Saturday.

Visitors must first obtain a ticket for the monuments or Keukenhof, and can then schedule a test appointment on the website testingvoortaccess.nl. The testing is free and is done at a number of fixed test locations in the country. People who have scheduled a visit and receive a positive test result can cancel their tickets for free without proof.

This weekend and the following weeks there will be many more pilots with test certificates. Hellendoorn amusement park and Squash Utrecht will also open limited on Saturdays. Casinos, zoos, theaters and music venues will open their doors later in April.
