Distressed caregivers, patients on the growing waiting list, their loved ones and others are very concerned. At the initiative of a surgeon, employees of the Amphia Hospital in Breda are one petition started by 538 Orange Day. More than 80.700 people have already signed the petition 'With 538 despised care'. 538 Orange Day is a Fieldlab test event. During this event, researchers will look at how events can be organized safely and responsibly in the long term. From dance to bands and from hits to Brabant sing-alongs. During 538 Orange Day, the greatest artists of the moment turn the Chasséveld upside down.

Because no events may be organized on King's Day, Radio 538 will be celebrating 24 Orange Day for one time on April 538 at the Chasséveld in Breda. With 10.000 visitors, 538 Orange Day 2021 will be the largest Fieldlab test event in the Netherlands to date. More than 1 million tickets were requested during pre-registration. 538 Orange Day is a Fieldlab test event. The rest of the Netherlands can also join the party on King's Day, because you can follow 538 Orange Day 2021 from home, on the road or at work on Tuesday 27 April. Only 10.000 lucky people were able to buy tickets on Thursday. All tickets are personalized and non-transferable.

Due to the corona pandemic, the hospital has reduced its operating capacity by at least half and the operating rooms are only available for acute and urgent care. The 10.000 partygoers with 538 on the Chasséveld are a blow to the care providers in the hospital 400 meters away. An Amphia spokesperson said earlier that he was concerned about the party, because the use of drugs or alcohol can lead to acute medical situations.
