As a logistics bulk and bagged goods specialist, Nijhof-Wassink is on the road daily with more than 550 truck combinations nationally and internationally for its customers in the chemical and compound feed industry. This entails a great responsibility in the field of sustainability. With a proactive approach, Nijhof-Wassink wants to make a positive contribution to the Green Deal objective of the European Union; work climate-neutral by 2050.

To reduce CO2 emissions in the coming years, the management of Nijhof-Wassink today signed a sustainability obligation to produce 2025% less CO10 emissions by 2030 and 30% less CO2 emissions in 2020 compared to 2050. With the ultimate goal of being CO2 neutral by XNUMX to work.

“Sustainable working is not new to us. We drive with the most economical diesel engines that emit relatively less CO2. We also have a number of Volvo LNG trucks in our fleet. These deliver 23% less CO2 emissions. From the 5 homelands of Nijhof-Wassink work is being done on the sustainability program 'Nijhof-Wassink, Drive for Green'. Initiatives that will fall under this include making the vehicle fleet more sustainable, greening warehouses and office buildings. In addition, we will also look to increase the efficiency of transport even more through further digitization and intensive use of data, among other things. In the coming years, Nijhof-Wassink, in close cooperation with its sister companies Ecotrans Logistics, Nijwa Group and all its stakeholders, will develop various projects to achieve the set goals.
