No farewell reception or shaking hands for Hubert Andela, because that is not possible due to the corona measures. Last week, Andela took a digital farewell to Royal Dutch Transport by email to members (KNV). Before joining KNV, the incoming director, trained as a lawyer, worked for various industry associations such as Transport and Logistics Netherlands and the security sector. Carlo Cahn will succeed Hubert Andela as director of the employers' association Royal Dutch Transport (KNV) on 1 June.

Carlo Cahn is also no stranger to the IRU, where he joined KNV Bus. In his duties as secretary of the Bus transport Netherlands association, he warned against 'an avalanche of bankruptcies' among bus companies. Cahn is also a director of the joint education and training fund and is part of the employers' delegation to the collective labor agreement for private bus transport.

constructive

A busy schedule is the least you can expect at the KNV. In the coming years there are also challenges for the KNV, which is somewhat bothered by a dusty image among the younger entrepreneurs. But is that right? As initiator of the MaaS-Lab, it is treading new paths and looking for a way in the advancing digitization. In addition to being a highly valued colleague, Carlo is also a very nice person with a lot of humor and an excellent manager who keeps an overview and is above all very stress resistant. Former colleagues described Cahn as someone who is genuinely interested in the people he works with. “He has the ability to manage a significant number of projects side by side".

goodbye Hubert Andela

In an email addressed to the members, Hubert Andela took a digital farewell to the KNV last week. No reception or shaking hands, because that is not possible due to the corona measures. Perhaps KNV will make up for this at a later time during a catch-up or next New Year's reception. Andela's departure simultaneously created a vacancy for the secretary position at KNV Healthcare Transport and Taxi. Jantine Vochteloo will fulfill this position from 1 June. She has been working at KNV Healthcare Transport and Taxi since 2008 and manages several files as a policy advisor. Our editorial team wishes everyone the best of luck in their new position.
