From June 26th it will be time and the applicable guidelines in primary education will be relaxed. An important part of the relaxation is that groups are mixed again. This makes it easier for schools to go on a school trip again. That is good news for coach operators who have been hit hard by the corona pandemic. KNV director Carlo Cahn is happy with the relaxation.

“This is very good news for coach operators. June is traditionally the month that schools go on a school trip. Although the relaxations will not take effect until later this month, some entrepreneurs will still benefit. This development is good for confidence in the future.”

Coach Directive unchanged

De corona directive for coach transport does not need to be adjusted. Together with trade unions FNV and CNV, Bus transport Netherlands has drawn up a COVID19 guideline. This guideline applies to the use of coaches during the corona crisis. Classes could already be mixed on the bus. There has also been no obligation to wear a face mask on the bus (for students up to 12 years old) all this time. According to Cahn, it is good that the guidelines for education and the guidelines for transport are again aligned. Entrepreneurs were asked a lot of questions about this. This ambiguity has come to an end.
