The summer holidays have already started in various parts of our country, the North region went on holiday last Monday and today it is the turn of the Central region. Next Monday, the last region will go on holiday, it will be the turn of the South region. If the weather stays as nice as it is now, many people will flock to the various beaches in our country. Long traffic jams on the highway and around the beaches all traffic is stuck, every year there is the same scene. It is therefore wise not to travel to the beach by car. Due to the corona, many Dutch people will remain in their own country during the summer holidays and, in good weather, are looking for fun and cooling off on the many beaches in the Netherlands. The largest seaside resort in the Netherlands is preparing for a busy summer. The municipality of The Hague is issuing travel advice this summer to anyone who wants to visit the beach there. They give this advice to prevent the nuisance that was there last summer, this year.

"Together with residents, entrepreneurs and external partners, the Municipal Executive has drawn up an action plan in Scheveningen to reduce nuisance during the beach season. But visitors can also help with this. By traveling smartly, throwing waste in the bins, a quieter place and by behaving decently in our seaside resort. We are doing it together for Scheveningen!"

People who want to go to the beach can best travel by public transport, (shared) bicycle or (shared) scooter, this will take you to the beach the fastest. You can also use the HTM Strandexpress. This express tram only stops at Hollands Spoor station, The Hague Central station, Kurhaus and the Zwarte Pad, so travelers can quickly reach the beach of Scheveningen. If you have no other choice and still go by car, it is best to use Park + Beach or park your car in one of the parking garages. Travel to the beach as early as possible in the morning and do not park in residential areas, here you are often only allowed to park for a maximum of 1 to 2 hours, and you do not feel like having to move your car in the meantime. The fastest routes to Scheveningen, Duindorp and Kijkduin can be found on the website of the municipality of The Hague. The municipality also asks visitors to adhere to the 'house rules'. This way everyone can enjoy the beach and the beautiful weather and it is also a nice summer for residents and entrepreneurs.
