Many people are going on holiday one of these weeks or have already left, the North and Central regions are already on holiday and the South region will join them next week. Cars with caravans will once again cross the borders en masse to campsites somewhere in Europe. It is very important to go on holiday well prepared, so this also includes a good check of your car and of course your caravan. You don't want to encounter problems with your car on the road, in a 'foreign' country where they speak a different language. Every year the ANWB organizes a free roadside assistance holiday check in the Netherlands. This year this check is on Saturday 24 July from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm, during this day holidaymakers can have their car checked for free, so that they can go on holiday safely.

De ANWB road assistance holiday check is every year in Hazeldonk in the parking lot along the A16 and is always crowded. The cars are checked on 23 points, including checking lighting, tire pressure, tire profile, windshield washer fluid, coolant, brake fluid, battery and oil level. People can also have minor problems solved on the spot by the professionals who are present. Don't forget to check the lighting and tires of your caravan, for example. A common problem is wrong and overloaded caravans. This can have serious consequences, damage to the chassis and the suspension, but the caravan can also start to sway while driving. Everyone has seen a crashed caravan along the highway with half of its contents scattered over the highway, we want to prevent these kinds of things. There is a lot of checks in Europe for caravans that are too heavy and incorrectly loaded.
