Twenty Breda children who cannot afford a bicycle will be given a new bicycle as a result of the 'Breda cycles for Breda' campaign. In recent months, almost 700 fellow citizens have cycled together 100.000 sponsored kilometers with the Ring-Ring app. The bicycles will be made available by the Youth Fund Sport and Culture Breda at the start of the new school year.
Since April you can turn on the Ring-ring app for every bike ride. Whether it's a tour with the cycling club, for daily shopping or a round in the neighborhood. The app records every kilometer. The action is in collaboration with the Youth Fund Sport and Culture Breda, Wielervereniging Breda and various bicycle repair shops in Breda who want to contribute together to combat mobility poverty and to encourage cycling in the city.
How nice that from September 20 children can now cycle to school or to their boyfriend or girlfriend. We are a cycling country and Breda is located in a unique cycling region. Youth Fund Sports & Culture Breda
Children who cannot participate do not get the opportunities that are obvious to their peers. Doing something about sports or culture helps a child to develop optimally physically, mentally and socially. This is also important for the family and ultimately for society as a whole. The bicycles go to children in families where there is no money at home for participation in a sport or cultural activity and therefore not for the purchase of a bicycle. The Youth Fund Sport & Cultuur Breda, together with a number of its intermediaries, including Stichting Leergeld, will allocate the bicycles.

The promotion is not over yet. The Ring-Ring App is still available for download and every kilometer counts. Together we ensure that even more children get a bicycle.
