Many restrictions that apply due to the corona pandemic will disappear on September 1. Also good news for bar-goers and party people. Cafés can stay open for as long as before the corona crisis, dancing can take place here and there and everyone can go back to the office. Flanders is certainly not in bad shape when the school gates swing open. According to figures from Care and Health, slightly more than 60 percent of Flemish secondary students are fully vaccinated today.

The rules for funerals, communions and clubs will also be dropped. That means that coffee tables and other parties are allowed again. And that private clubs can open again. Although people still have to wear a mouth mask there to walk in and out of the business, but also during movements in the business itself. Drinking something standing, or at the bar, can also again. Dancing is also allowed again weddings. The obligatory closing time will be lifted and catering businesses can remain open as long as they want, taking into account the municipal or municipal regulations where they are located.

Brussels

Only Brussels is not yet taking the reins. The Belgian capital is even less advanced with vaccinations than the rest of the country. The city council is considering asking cafe and restaurant-goers for a corona pass. That could encourage people to still get a shot. Outside of Brussels, the nightlife can get going again. It is even possible to dance again, although that initially seemed to have to wait. Dancing is officially only allowed at a private party, but with a texted invitation from, for example, the café owner, a night out can also be called that.
