Not only have coach companies started en masse for the Dutch Grand Prix F1 in Zandvoort, taxi drivers are also trying to get a piece of the cake. By purchasing a special permit, taxi companies were able to sign up to work in Zandvoort during the Formula 1 days. Whether the costs of the permit will be paid remains to be seen, according to one of the taxi drivers, who had expected more work.

Unfortunately, corona measures are massively ignored by Amsterdam taxi drivers who work in Zandvoort at night. A matter of transporting as many people as possible, preferably with 4 people in an outdated Mercedes passenger car. There is hardly any control, let alone control on compliance with the protocol for the corona rules. The extra permit must be earned back, but taxis are not allowed to travel everywhere.

The seaside resort is expected to receive 70.000 visitors for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of the Netherlands again on Sunday, just like the two previous days. A full train arrives at the station every five minutes. The fans then walk towards the circuit. Despite the permit on the window of the taxi, Zandvoort station is an off-limits area for these permit holders and that is precisely the place where 70% of F1 visitors want to go.
