The summer holidays are over, after 6 weeks of vacation, the last schools in our country that had not yet started have also started again. The south had their last week of vacation last week. For most working Dutch people, the holiday is over again. This was also noticeable in traffic yesterday and today, it was quite busy on the road, and there were again several traffic jams. According to the NS, September is the busiest month of the year for rail and bus operators.

Working Netherlands has to go back to the office and students go back to school. Yesterday, NS held a joint action with Breng and Arriva to welcome travelers and help them with responsible travel. At Nijmegen, Nijmegen Heyendaal, Arnhem Centraal and Arnhem Presikhaaf stations, employees were present with special signs to welcome travelers and to allow them to travel responsibly, and refreshments were also distributed. The carriers are very happy that the travelers are back. They prepare well every year for this month.

Extra trains will be used during rush hour. Arriva also runs rush hour trains on the Maaslijn and the trains are longer. Bring runs more often with buses, all this to bring travelers quickly and pleasantly to their destination. It is important that we do not all travel at the same time, which is why, for example, the lecture times of different schools have been coordinated for years so that not all students have to travel at the same time. Travelers association Rover is very curious about how the month of September is going in terms of crowds in the train. That's why they call on travelers to travel in the month of September to pass on when it's too crowded on the train.
