Companies often get wet when they try to trick their potential customers into believing they are green, sustainable and environmentally conscious. In all likelihood, KLM will stop serving meat in economy class. For example, the airline wants to follow social trends and make them more sustainable. According to aviation expert Yteke de Jong, KLM wants to respond to current trends. According to another reading, many different meals already have to be served on the plane during the flight because there are already many vegetarians or because of different religions on board.

On social media, the proposal is dismissed as a common cutback that could cost KLM customers. Still, serving fewer meals makes logistics easier. KLM, which did not want this plan to leak out at all, indicates that the alternative to meat must be tasty. In the business class, the serving of meat will continue to exist. This is of course exactly the signal that you do not want to send out as a company. The wealthier passengers in the business class will retain all options and the economy mob will have no meat if it is up to a climate-conscious KLM.

KLM will often place this topic on the agenda in the coming period before it becomes a fact. With a small home market and plenty of choice between airlines, the airline company has to do its best. Despite KLM's limited resources at the moment, we can state that picking up meat from the menu will not make the difference between profit and loss.
