From 2025, municipalities have the option of establishing a separate zero-emission zone. International parcel delivery company DPD has set the goal of emission-free delivery in the 2025 largest cities in the Netherlands by 45. In addition, DPD aims to be fully electric by 2030. Where DPD first set itself the target of emission-free delivery in 30 Dutch cities, the international parcel deliverer is now adjusting its ambition to 45 cities. Precisely because sustainability is such an important subject and DPD wants to contribute to a better world.

DPD currently operates electric buses in cities such as Amsterdam, Haarlem and Eindhoven. 150 charging stations have now been installed at various DPD depots. Today, Maastricht is added to the list, with which 9 routes will be traveled sustainably from now on. In total, this saves 73.800 kg of CO2 emissions per year.

We all share the #SameAddress
We all share the same address: Earth. DPD delivered 2020 billion parcels worldwide in 1,9. To protect future generations and the planet, DPD has reduced its CO2 emissions per package by 2013% since 18,8. In 2025, those emissions will even drop to 30%, because DPD deploys 225 vehicles that emit little or no CO7.700 in the 2 largest cities in Europe. In addition, DPD International is deploying 3600 charging points and 80 new city depots, allowing more electric journeys with a shorter range to be used. “Our ambition is to become the greenest parcel deliverer in Europe. That is why in 2025 we will not only deliver emission-free to the 30 largest cities, but also to the 45 largest cities in the Netherlands. But our ambition is greater. We aim to replace all buses with electric buses by 2030. We have been CO2012 neutral since 2, and now we are committed to making our process structurally sustainable, not only in the Netherlands, but throughout Europe. All this under the motto: we all share the same address. Namely the earth and we have to be careful with that.”
