Verstraaten Staatsie Vervoer joins Funeral Assist Nederland as a partner to serve the most southern provinces. The funeral organizations established there can contact Funeral Assist Zuidoost Nederland from 1 February 2022. The funeral agency in Venray supports funeral directors with everything they do not have in-house. As co-founders and shareholders of the partner network, the brothers Piet and Geert-Jan Verstraaten have worked intensively in the past year to set up, nationally expand and professionalize Funeral Assist Nederland.

“The goal has always been to connect with Verstraaten Staatsie Vervoer. We have taken the time to set up our family business with full services from our own ranks. Completely unburdening the customer – from the last care, transfer and laying out to state transport – is a condition that we had imposed on ourselves to be able to join the national formula.”

The former Verstraaten Staatsie Vervoer already relieved the funeral director with various services by working together with regular partners. According to Geert-Jan, the intention was to expand the service package in-house. When they wanted to open up the channels for recruiting their own care teams, they discussed their plans with Randy te Raaij of Het Postmortale Zorgteam. Various options were discussed, from continuing to hire services in the form of cooperation that existed to takeover. The latter option offered the best outcome for both parties. With the takeover of the care employees and the customer base of Het Postmortale Zorgteam and the name change of Verstraaten Staatsie Vervoer, Funeral Assist Zuidoost Nederland is a provider of all services from its own home.
