No trains from 14:00 due to storm Eunice all over the Netherlands. The weather bureau for the rail sector warns against code orange: extremely strong winds are expected throughout the country. Just like on the road and in aviation, this has an impact on the rail because there is a high chance that trees will blow onto the track. This can cause dangerous situations. On Friday, February 18, until 14:00 storm schedule. NS will run fewer trains on almost all routes from the morning, because the peak of the storm is expected around noon.

ProRail and NS are therefore suspending domestic and international train traffic. NS and Prorail are taking this difficult decision out of safety for our travelers and colleagues and find it very annoying that this is necessary. They announced this a day in advance so you can take this into account. and advise not to travel if possible. The NS Travel Planner is updated with the most current travel information for the next day. Na advises you to keep a close eye on the weather reports and to plan your journey shortly before departure on with the journey planner in the NS app or on www.ns.nl

The KNMI issues code orange for a large part of the Netherlands for storm Eunice, which will pass over the country tomorrow. Code yellow only applies to Limburg. The expectation is that Eunice is accompanied by stronger winds than storm Dudley, which passed over our country last night. Storm Eunice will pass by the Netherlands tomorrow afternoon and evening and this can lead to a (very) heavy storm on the coast, wind force 10 and possibly even wind force 11!
