In 2022, De Lijn transported around 255 000 extra passengers during the Ghent Festivities compared to the summer period outside the Ghent Festivities. The peak days for De Lijn were 23, 22 and 24 July. The regular transport offer was expanded especially for the Gentse Feesten: all tram lines and the most important city lines to P+R locations, for example, ran longer than usual. Tram 1 shuttled around the clock between Flanders Expo and Korenmarkt.

Every night at 0.30 am, 2.15 am and 4.00 am, 12 special party buses departed from Gent Zuid to numerous destinations in the region around Ghent. The Feestenbuses transported 10 18 travelers during the 869 days. Most of them took the bus in the direction of Beervelde (via Lochristi), Gavere (via Merelbeke) and Eeklo (via Waarschoot). The 10 days of Ghent Festivities also meant giving everything for the employees of De Lijn for 10 days. In order to ensure that the dismantling runs smoothly and safely, bus lines 3, 5, 8, 17, 18, 38, 39, 52, 53, 54, 55 and 58 will be diverted through the Kasteellaan until 26 July instead of via Saint James.
