From the customer's perspective, freedom of choice is desirable.

Soon Bliepen will also set your world in motion and show you what freedom of mobility does to you. From public transport to scooter, from bicycle to a taxi. Mobility comes in every form for everyone. The network is the new platform where transport companies, local providers of shared mobility and consumers find each other and jointly facilitate mobility.

In a world where MaaS (Mobility as a Service) plays an increasingly important role, both for work and leisure, the network also wants to give smaller entrepreneurs the opportunity to participate in the progress. A MaaS service could ideally support the people in question by offering a carefree journey. Offering mobility is not only intended for large companies or startups that only offer their own services with large marketing budgets. Smaller mobility providers must also be able to participate in a market that is in full swing.

What is Blipen?

At the Eindhoven software company Pitane Mobility, they believe that when you make it easy for consumers to purchase mobility, more turnover, loyalty and journeys are generated. The Bliepen network is the marketplace where supply and demand meet. This can be done by using apps with TOMP API technology or by booking via a certified Bliepen booking platform. By using a Bliepen QR code you beep the service at the mobility provider.

You can already participate in the mobility network by registering as a beta tester. This is possible as travelers but also as a provider of mobility. MaaS and the Bliepen network is not yet at the stage of maturity, much is work in progress and development is in full swing. The Bliepen network will be rolled out to the general public in the Netherlands and Belgium this autumn.

“We are currently seeing a market development that is aimed at large providers of mobility developing their own MaaS Apps. They only do that for their own customers. Apart from a few exceptions, all these parties are pursuing their own interests, do not share 'big data' with other providers and ignore the European MaaS objectives.”

Gerrit Saey – director and founder of Pitane Mobility

Pitane Mobility is part of Pitane BV and was founded in 1999. The company is a leader in software specialisms for MaaS, student and care transport, software for taxi transport, traffic control and control centers. The company is located in Eindhoven on the Eindhoven Airport business park.
