Last August, 23.638 new passenger cars were registered in the Netherlands. That is an increase of 9,2 percent compared to the same month in 2021. This is apparent from figures from RAI Association, BOVAG and RDC datacenter. A total of 199.297 new passenger cars were registered this year. That is 11.883 less than in 2021 (-5,6 percent) when 211.180 new cars left the showroom up to and including August.

Kia with 2.741 registrations and 11,6 percent market share

Volkswagen (2.237 / 9,5 percent)

Toyota (1.671 / 7,1 percent)

Hyundai (1.546 / 6,5 percent)

Peugeot (1.536 / 6,5 percent)

MOST REGISTERED MODELS IN AUGUST 2022:

Peugeot 208 with 865 registrations and 3,7 percent market share

Opel Corsa (850 / 3,6 percent)

Volkswagen Polo (680 / 2,9 percent)

Kia Picanto (663/2,8 percent)

Kia Niro (642 / 2,7 percent)
