She will go down in the history books as the second in the list of longest-serving monarchs worldwide.

The death of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has left the country in deep mourning. Just before her death, doctors were deeply concerned for the health of the British Queen. "The Queen passed away peacefully this afternoon," the royal family said.

The 96-year-old queen was rarely seen in public. Last Tuesday Prime Minister Truss visited Balmoral Castle so that Queen Elizabeth II could accept her as Prime Minister. In her 70 years of service, Elizabeth saw as many as fifteen British Prime Ministers pass. The first of those fifteen was Winston Churchill.

Many Britons can imagine no other queen than their Queen Elisabeth. Her 73-year-old son Charles became king immediately after his mother's death, as Charles III. Charles was the longest-serving pretender to the throne in British history. Immediately after the death, operation 'Unicorn' was put into operation, a modified version of 'London Bridge'. The Queen's body will be transported by Royal Train to London, where Prime Minister Truss will meet the vehicle at St Pancras station. The funeral is scheduled for Monday, September 19, and this day is also a day of national mourning.

royalty

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, better known as Elizabeth II, was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand since February 6, 1952. Queen Elizabeth actually didn't have to get a driver's license because of her royalty. She learned to drive during World War II when she drove an emergency truck for the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service. Since then, she has been in love with cars and even owned a fleet of rare vehicles.

mobility

As the Pope has the Popemobile, the Queen has her Range Rover. This bespoke Range Rover was used by the Queen for daily royal processions. When it came to more formal events such as a royal wedding or the Queen's Jubilee, a different, more traditional vehicle was used. Land Rovers have always been seen as the 'people's car'. They were used by farmers and factory workers alike. Ever since she got her first just before she took the throne, Elizabeth has owned one.

Queen Elisabeth's fleet is said to include three Rolls-Royces, three Daimlers and two Bentleys. That was only her fleet at Buckingham Palace, because her other houses and castles also have a number of automobiles. The most famous car of recent years is probably the green Bentley Mulsanne that recently went under the hammer. Amazingly, the Bentley was not fitted with bulletproof glass or other security measures.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth still occasionally drove her car without a driver. If you take all the vehicles the Queen owned like the Jaguars, Audis, Rolls Royces and so on, the value of the garage is close to 10 million Royal British Pounds.
