Judging by the daily reporting, the Netherlands seems to be divided to the bone and seem to be looking for solutions.

Energy shortages and the associated price increases and possible supply uncertainty, housing shortage and the nitrogen crisis. Persistent social issues that affect society as a whole. Nevertheless, legislation - think of the Quality Assurance Act - is apparently a long time coming. And if there is regulation, enforcement sometimes seems difficult in practice. Judging by the daily reporting, the Netherlands seems to be divided to the bone and seem to be looking for solutions.

National Energy Week

The picture is very different at the Zero Emission | . trade fair Ecomobiel, during the National Energy Week in Den Bosch. Hundreds of exhibitors show sustainable solutions and for the tens of thousands of business visitors, improving the Netherlands is a daily occurrence. From emission-free transport to sustainable heat. From industrial housing to CO2 reduction in industry. The solutions are there. Proven and cost efficient.

Focus on heavy transport and construction

Zero Emission I Ecomobile has been the fair since 2009 at which business visitors are introduced to sustainable innovation in mobility. While the focus in the mobility transition has long been on passenger mobility, electrification has now become mainstream in that area. In the areas of urban distribution, heavier transport and construction, developments have recently started to accelerate. At the fair, visitors will be introduced to the possibilities in electric transport and electric construction machines (such as the ECO-Excavator), but also to various techniques for power supply and charging solutions.

It can be cleaner and smarter

Environmental zones, car-free inner cities, inner-city supplies and the retail sector that delivers groceries at home: they all require smarter and cleaner transport options. On the exhibition floor we will show that it is possible! Take the eActros from Mercedes: with a range of up to 200 kilometers, this truck can offer a solution in many cases. In addition to electrifying transport, we are also seeing more and more parties opting for cargo bikes or comparable transport options and hubs on the outskirts of the city.

The program of the fair is comprehensive. Two sessions featured.

The increase in electric driving requires smart charging facilities. Partner ElaadNL provides insight into the possibilities for smart charging and service logistics. On Thursday 13 October, HNCP is organizing an interactive workshop for carriers and shippers. In it, two experts tell their story: one of them believes in battery-electric, the other prefers to focus on hydrogen. These experts shed light on all kinds of aspects: vehicles, driver training, journey profiles, energy requirements, wheel-to-wheel energy profiles, infrastructure, self-generation and integral cost estimates.

The theme of hydrogen is also present. Visitors can do this during the Dutch Hydrogen Days. Tuesday 11 October will be devoted to hydrogen in mobility: hydrogen is gaining ground, especially for heavy transport by road, rail and shipping. The advantages of ease of use and flexibility are offset by the availability of hydrogen filling stations. Where are we in this process? On Wednesday 12 November, hydrogen in the built environment will be on the program and on Thursday 13 October visitors will be taken on a tour of the possibilities of hydrogen in a climate-neutral industry.
