Strikes in public transport cause a lot of inconvenience to travelers.

Strikes in public transport cause a lot of inconvenience to travelers. Earlier in June, August and September we had to deal with this. Now it's that time again, tomorrow, Thursday and Friday strikes have been announced in regional regional transport. Trade union FNV has called on its members to participate in these strikes. FNV does not agree with the collective labor agreement and they are campaigning against the demolition of public transport. They want, among other things, a wage increase to compensate for the price rises of 10 percent and a reduction in work pressure.

“The drivers find it extremely annoying for the traveler, but this strike is really due to the employers' reluctance to come to a fair collective labor agreement. In addition, the drivers are seriously concerned about the current downsizing of public transport.”

Not all staff of regional regional transport will strike, there will also be employees who will do their utmost to timetables to be carried out as well as possible. It will only be known on the day itself which routes have delays, are not running or have changed. Travelers across the country will be affected by these strikes as buses and trains will not run on time or may not run at all. To enforce the demands, bus drivers from three provinces are going to the provincial government to present a petition.
