The Care and Taxi Disputes Committee will continue to exist.

As of January 1, 2023, the National Taxi Transport Complaints Hotline will stop. This is reported by TX-Keur, together with Royal Dutch Transport (KNV). The complaints desk was always an extra safety net for travelers who could no longer contact the carrier, where the complaint belongs in the first instance.

The National Taxi Transport Complaints Hotline was set up at the time at the request of the House of Representatives to support the Passenger Transport Act 2000. Initially, it was housed at the then Transport and Water Management Inspectorate. The activities were later taken over by the KNV industry association and the traveler's organization Rover and since 2019 managed by the TX-Keur foundation.

disputes

According to the website of the central government, complaints about a taxi can be submitted to the taxi driver, the taxi company or the National Taxi Transport Complaints Hotline. If the traveler is not satisfied with the handling of his complaint, he can contact a disputes committee. This can be done by letter or telephone to the taxi company or online or by telephone at the National Complaints Hotline Taxi Transport. This last option will stop permanently from the new year, which will make it a lot more difficult for consumers to get a hearing.

neutral

Travelers' organization ROVER represents the interests of all travelers in public transport, but the KNV Zorgvervoer en Taxi entrepreneurs' association represents the interests of the affiliated taxi companies and not of the travelers. Not every consumer is able or willing to contact the taxi carrier directly in the event of a complaint and the Complaints Hotline does not resolve the complaint itself, but tries to mediate between the customer and the carrier so that they can come to a mutual solution.

It will therefore be more difficult for travelers to submit a complaint through a neutral acting body. The Care and Taxi Disputes Committee will continue to exist.
