The government of the United Arab Emirates has recently relaxed the entry measures for corona, but beware. For events, organizers can set corona measures.

Abu Musa and Tunbu

Qatar

Homosexuality is prohibited by law, but the authorities in Qatar have indicated that everyone is welcome at the 2022 World Cup and everyone can feel safe. Physical contact between lovers – regardless of gender – is not common in public. And as in many other countries, there are rules about photography: don't take pictures of government buildings, and don't take pictures of people without permission.

Anyone with a Hayya card can travel to the stadium for free on subways and buses during the tournament. Make sure you leave on time, because it will be busy. There is a lot to do around the stadiums, so you certainly don't have to be bored.
