Arno van Haasterrecht, director of Trevvel, asks passengers for understanding for any inconvenience caused by announced actions. The FNV announced that employees in taxi and healthcare transport will go on strike for a new collective labor agreement. With a few exceptions, it is not yet entirely clear where and when exactly the strikes will take place and whether Trevvel employees will participate.
Trevvel endorses that everyone has the right to good working conditions and can take action to achieve this. Life has become more expensive for everyone, including Trevvel's employees. Trevvel is doing everything it can to accommodate its employees in rising costs. As of October 1, the bottom 5 rungs of the pay scale for drivers have expired. This means that the hourly wage for many employees went up immediately. Trevvel also pays its employees an energy allowance for the months of October to December 2022 of a maximum of 300 euros net.

These measures are highly appreciated by our employees and are unique in healthcare transport and in the taxi market. Nevertheless, employees are free to join an action or strike. At Trevvel, they only know this when this happens or one or more of their employees are involved. In that case, Trevvel wants to do everything possible to inform the customers. Unfortunately, they cannot rule out the possibility that customers will sooner be inconvenienced by an action or strike than they can inform them.
Companies are not legally allowed to use a replacement driver when a driver is on strike. There is therefore no transport if a driver is on strike. Royal Dutch Transport (KNV) is the employers' organization that conducts collective labor agreement negotiations for the whole of the Netherlands. Trevvel has little influence on this. However, Trevvel hopes that the unions and KNV will soon reach an agreement and that the nuisance for their customers will be limited as much as possible.
