On this new website, visitors can read all about work that affects the accessibility of The Hague.

Alderman Anne Mulder (outdoor space, mobility and Scheveningen) recently launched the website Bereikbarestad.denhaag.nl together with city director for accessibility Erwin de Jong. On this new website, visitors can read all about work that affects the accessibility of The Hague.

''Work is inevitably accompanied by nuisance and that is annoying. But work is needed to ensure that The Hague remains easily accessible, safe and liveable in the future. The municipality believes it is important that we communicate well about the activities in the city. So that our residents know what nuisance to expect and what the planning is. We are already doing this through residents' letters, signs on the street and social media, among other things. The new website is a central point in our communication. Everything comes together on that website and we can communicate very quickly. You can no longer change a residents' letter and that is easily done on the website.''

Information & planning

On the new website visitors read everything they need to get from A to B. The website is intended for residents, entrepreneurs and visitors of The Hague. For each project, they will find more information about the work, the planning and the diversion routes. It is also stated per project where they can go with questions. This only concerns works that affect the accessibility of the city. These can be small-scale sewerage works, replacing traffic lights, making intersections safer, but also the renovation of the Utrechtsebaan or the adjustment of tram tracks for accessible trams, according to the Municipality of The Hague.
