ANVR enthusiastic about free testing for travel

Between July 1 and August 31, the government wants to offer a free test to everyone who has to be tested during this period to be able to go on holiday. Yesterday, with some delay, the government website www.testenvoorjereis.nl was launched. The ANVR is enthusiastic about the offer of free testing, but hopes that the currently very limited testing capacity and the ICT problems that arise will be solved quickly.

At the moment there is still insufficient testing capacity available via the website, despite the fact that dozens of test companies have gone through the procedure in an unprecedented short time and meet the conditions set by the government to ensure that the practical side of testing runs smoothly. But it is still quite a job to make these also available digitally to the traveler. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management is working hard to digitally expand the number of test locations in the very short term, so that everyone can easily and quickly make an appointment and the correct data will soon be in your CoronaCheckApp.

"Now that practically all of Europe is yellow and we can travel again, the most important advice we want to give the holidaymaker now when it comes to tests is: 'Only book a test if you really need it, and don't book it too early, either. because the travel advice can be relaxed even further.'"

It turns out that some holidaymakers 'already' reserve a spot 'just to be sure', but unintentionally and undesirably offer no space to holidaymakers who leave at short notice. The question that the traveler should ask himself in any case is: have you checked on www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl whether you actually need a test for your destination by the time you leave and if so, which test?

Branch organization ANVR hopes that after yellow Europe, with free tests and a DCC (corona passport), countries on the other continents will soon be allowed to travel. Only when the distant travel specialists can finally organize full trips again after 1,5 years, will it be time to think about phasing out government support, according to the government. ANVR.
