You can find a bicycle in a few clicks, open it with the NS app and cycle away. We want to offer our travelers flexibility and one simple app with which they can travel quickly and easily with all kinds of partial transport”.

NS expects that later this year all travelers will be able to plan, book and pay for TIER's shared bicycles via the NS app. Travel is rarely just from station to station. The Dutch Railways wants to help travelers with a door-to-door journey that is as easy as possible and therefore looks further than just the train.

“At TIER, we believe that cooperation with partners such as NS is the most powerful way to make shared mobility even more accessible. The combination of shared transport and public transport is extremely effective in making door-to-door travel possible. We are therefore very pleased that with this collaboration we can also serve business travellers, for example to and from the station.”

With the addition of TIER, business travelers can now also easily cycle to the station and use public transport. According to the NS travelers can use more than 22.000 public transport bicycles, available at 295 locations. 5.100 electric shared scooters from Check in nine cities. More than 500.000 bicycle parking spaces. 270 P+R locations at stations and 2.600 (electric) shared cars from Greenwheels spread over 165 municipalities and at 135 stations.
