KwikFit will henceforth act as an official certified service partner in VanMoof's Dutch service network.

VanMoof, the prestigious brand of electric bicycles, has announced that it will close its only own repair point in the South of the Netherlands and will work with KwikFit from now on. The repair point, which was located at the former Philips complex Strijp-S, has been operating for less than two years. For Eindhoven residents and other residents of the southern Netherlands, this was the only location where they could have their bicycles repaired by qualified 'Bike Doctors'. The property is now for rent.

KwikFit itself announces the new cooperation with e-bike manufacturer VanMoof. KwikFit will henceforth act as an official certified service partner in VanMoof's Dutch service network. By scheduling an appointment via the VanMoof app, customers can turn to KwikFit for professional and efficient maintenance and repair service for their VanMoof e-bikes.

"Expanding our service network is a top priority for VanMoof. Over the past two years, we have grown from eight service points to 56 and aim to have XNUMX by the end of the year. KwikFit offers volume, visibility and quality, so this partnership is a wonderful and logical step in our ambition."

To ensure the high-quality service that VanMoof customers have come to expect, all KwikFit e-bike employees will undergo specific VanMoof training. In addition, they will be equipped with special tools that are essential for the maintenance of VanMoof e-bikes. Thanks to these measures, KwikFit will be able to perform not only regular maintenance, but also repairs and warranty-related work on VanMoof bicycles.

Customers can now schedule their maintenance or repair appointments via the VanMoof app. The branch on Leenderweg in Eindhoven will in the future serve as the new service point for VanMoof customers in the city. That location has been one of KwikFit's e-bike stations for over a year now. Many owners of VanMoof bicycles expected more service when purchasing their bicycle. The main problem for bike owners is that they have to go to a special repair hub for any repair, even for repairing a puncture. These hubs work with special tools that only work on VanMoof bicycles and are not available at the average bicycle shop.

"We look forward to further joining forces with VanMoof. Through this partnership, we further expand the number of brands and types of transportation we service for our customers. We want to be a major player in e-mobility in the broadest sense of the word and this collaboration is another important step in this strategy.”

Last year, KwikFit launched its E-bike Service concept in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven. This month KwikFit announced that it will expand its E-bike Service concept to six new cities: Groningen, Amersfoort, Gouda, Tilburg, Nijmegen and Enschede. The expansion of the E-bike Service from four to ten locations is aimed at serving a larger number of customers and offering them the benefits of the unique E-bike Service concept, with an emphasis on convenience and speed. These new locations are a step forward towards KwikFit's ultimate goal of having an E-bike Service Point at all 165 branches, so that there is national coverage. Once staff are hired and trained, customers will be able to use their VanMoof bikes at these new locations as well.

VanMoof bicycles contain parts specially designed for these bicycles, which means that many common spare parts used by various bicycle manufacturers and available directly from stock are not compatible with a VanMoof. This means that many users have to rely on companies with which VanMoof has a partnership, such as KwikFit, to perform the necessary maintenance and repair work on their bicycles.
